Local Miracle Child featured in People Magazine

Miracle Child Valory has always had a love for dance. Even her battle with Osteosarcoma couldn’t stop that love. Valory was diagnosed in November of 2014, after rounds of chemotherapy it was decided that she would need to have her lower left leg amputated. While she is a Miracle Child for Mercy Health Children’s Hospital, she is also a supporter and spokesperson for Dancers Against Cancer. A wonderful organization that helps kids that have been diagnosed with cancer in the dancer community. It was this organization that People Magazine did a spread on with celebrity guests. Her mother said this about her daughter “Having one leg has not slowed her down at all and she even shows me that anything can be done regardless of what life throws at you.” We are so proud that Valory continues to be a great role model for Children’s Miracle Network and Mercy Health Children’s Hospital, while also volunteering her time for Dancers Against Cancer.
