Help Kids Live Better with the Upcoming Walmart Campaign

On August 27th, Walmart and Sam’s Club will be kicking off their 31st year of support for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Customers will be asked to donate to their local CMN Hospital to #HelpKidsLiveBetter. This year Walmart and Sam’s Club is on track to pass the $1 billion raised, will you help them hit this amazing milestone?

We decided to reach out to some of our CMN Champions about why they are so passionate about Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and what they do at their stores to help support the campaign.

Rebecca from store 1429 in Fremont, OH had this to say about her experience with Walmart and Children’s Miracle Network.

When asked why she volunteers her time, she said “Why do I dedicate my time to Children’s Miracle Network? These beautiful babies were born to grow and live a beautiful life. Some of our beautiful babies are healthy and some have some difficulties. I started to help when a manager at my Walmart Store asked me to become their store champion. I accepted and believe me it wasn’t easy at first. However when I got to go to my first kickoff meeting held at Mercy Health – Children’s Hospital that is when it started!!! Kristi Frederick (CMN program director) you are an amazing person! You know how to get everyone motivated. We take this back to the store and work with it. I will raise money for these beautiful children as long as the good lord allows.”

What is the best way to get your coworkers involved?  “The best way to engage is to make sure the associates know what CMN is all about. Invite them to the kickoff, this gets them motivated. Keep your store manager involved, Our store manager at 1429 is all about children! Keep planning! Stay positive!”
