Mercy Children’s Wins $1,000 through Castles for a Cause

On Thursday June 21st, students from RockeTHON, at The University of Toledo, competed in Castles for a Cause on behalf of Mercy Health Children’s Hospital. Castles for a Cause brought eight local charities together to build sand castles. Each team had one hour to create their “castles”, and then their final products were posted on Facebook. The community voted on their favorite creation, with the photo with the most likes becoming winner. After a close race against the Girl Scouts, Mercy Health Children’s Hospital won the vote with over a 1,000 votes! Thank you to everyone who took the time to like the photo on Facebook. Thank you to the RockeTHON students for creating our masterpiece. And finally thank you to The Shops at Levis Commons for holding this competition. Everyone had a sandtastic time!
